Dogfish Head Alehouse Is Close to Opening at Reston Town Center

Dogfish Head Alehouse is getting ready to open at 11995 Inspiration Street in Reston Town Center. A sign permit for the space was started with Fairfax County on September 28, and the restaurant’s beer and wine license application is still pending with Virginia ABC. The owner told FFXnow in June that he was planning for an October opening, after an earlier summer target slipped. The restaurant has not announced a date.

The alehouse takes 7,550 square feet on the second floor of the AC Hotel building

The space sits in the AC Hotel and Residence Inn building at RTC Next, the newer stretch of Reston Town Center near the Silver Line station. FFXnow reported that the menu pairs craft beers with burgers, pizzas, salads and smoked barbecue. Viswa Vasireddy owns the Reston location and runs it independently under a licensing agreement with Delaware-based Dogfish Head Craft Brewery.

The owner also runs Clarity, which opened at Reston Town Center in July

The brand is coming back to Virginia after two closures

Dogfish Head Alehouse closed its Seven Corners and Greenbriar Town Center restaurants. Co-owner Joe Hospital told FFXnow the Seven Corners landlord raised the rent to a level that was “unfeasible to run.” Reston will be the brand’s first Virginia location since then.

RTC Next now includes Paris Baguette and Clarity, with Grazie Nonna still to come

Paris Baguette opened at 2004 Opportunity Way in June, and Grazie Nonna has its own beer and wine license application pending with Virginia ABC. Once the alehouse opens, apartment and condo residents around Inspiration Street will have another sit-down restaurant nearby.

October remains the target, and no opening date is public
